Somewhat amusing work story. Every month we have to meet with our
manager to discuss individualized work goals, how close we came to
meeting the goal, setting new goals. Well, I had that meeting today.
The goal that everyone was working on for the month was 'decision
making' but somehow my boss and I got off on real tangent. I'm not
sure how it came up but the fact that I had lost around 60-70 lbs over
three years ago and have kept it off for over three years came up. She
had remembered how large I was back then. I enthusiastically told my
boss about how I have been doing the P90X extreme workout geared
toward athletic men and I was going into my third week of the 12 week
program. I thought she was joking when she said she was going to make
my goal for the month be continue working on P90X, but she wasn't. She
actually wrote that down for my goal, claiming that exercising and
making healthy decisions was 'good decision making' and would trickle
down to help decision making on the job.
I thought that was amusing. So now I really have to stick with my intense workout program.
