A question for the runners...

Okay, I blogged earlier today that I did do quite a bit of running last spring and summer and ran today. Every time I run, I get a headache later in the day...strange, I know, but does anyone have any thoughts on this? I am always hydrated, don't run on an empty or full stomach, and shortly after I am done I have some sort of protein...could just be I'm looking for an excuse to NOT run (I hate it but it's the quickest way to lose the "jiggle").

    Well, if you are sure you are staying hydrated (and hopefully even more-so if you live where it's hot), and you are sure you are not getting hunger headaches, then I guess the next things to think about would be allergens.

    Are you running near vegetation you might be allergic to? Do you run in a big city on the sidewalk next to cars spewing out exhaust while sitting in traffic?

    After that, I'd consider my blood pressure. Do you have high blood pressure? If so, you might want to check with your doctor regarding a running program.

    I have never heard of headaches specifically associated with running. If you are sure you are drinking enough, eating enough, and are not allergic to anything, then I would check with my doctor.
