Week 1 of bootcamp

This week has been really good for me. I managed all of my strength training, which I'm really pleased about. Unfortunately, I came down with a bad cold mid-week so have not done the last couple of days of bootcamp, but will make them up when I can. I'm not beating myself up over it. I'm not doing my body any favors by pushing myself to the limit if I'm not well. I feel much better today (other than my VERY early wake up call from Ania) and am looking forward to a really good workout today. I need to get creative with my cardio though as it is very snowy and icy outside. I'm missing my walks!

I've lost 4 pounds this week! YAY ME! I'm hoping to be under the 200 lb mark by Friday of this week. I've done really well with my eating. I have cut out coffee-which is a REALLY big deal for me. Coffee would be okay if I could just take it black, but I like mine with lots of cream and a bit of sugar, both of which I'm trying to cut down on. I'm having green tea instead and I love it. I've not had any processed or sugary foods. When I have had cravings for sweets I've grabbed fruit instead. Even though I have been tempted a few times, I've managed to make the right choices and that feels really good!

Here's to another fantastic week! I'm already looking forward to reporting next week. 2010 is shaping up to be a very good year!
