Gee, I'm hungry.

Friday, January 08, 2010

I'm not sure what to make of this. For the last few days I've been hungry. Not like, "gee, that looks good, wish I could have it" hungry. I mean, stomach growling loudly, feeling kind of dizzy hungry. I'm staying within the range of my calorie goals. Maybe I should drink more water? I haven't hit that 8 glasses a day goal yet. I don't like feeling light-headed. On the other hand, maybe my stomach just needs to get used to less food and shrink. The being hungry thing concerns me because I used to starve myself for long periods of time as a kid, and I feel that same spacey feeling. Starving is not a good thing, I know that. Maybe I need to adjust my food plan? I still have 217 calories left today. Perhaps I'll go have a yogurt. After all, this is about learning to eat in a healthy way, not who eats the least food wins. emoticon

You might want to make sure you're getting enough sugar throughout the day. I have noticed times between eating when I get light-headed because my blood sugar gets low. Sometimes if I know I'm going to be exercising for a couple of hours I'll mix in some kool-aid between the water and that seems to help me.

    HP,

If you are working out and lowering your carb intake your blood sugar level may be low so you will get that shaky feeling . Try having a higher carb snack before or after you work out . You'll feel better and will be more likely to stick with your overall goal.

Just my opinion I'm not a doctor or anything remotely close but have felt the same on occasion. Good Luck, Greg
