Last night I forgot to plug in the slow cooker before I went to bed so my oatmeal was not ready when I got up.

I went shopping for fresh produce after my late breakfast. I got a 5-pound box of blueberries. I think they will be our last fresh ones for this season. I have some in the freezer already. I also got a couple pints of raspberries. They are so good. I got some peaches and tomatoes. There was fresh 12-grain bread at my second last stop. It was so fresh it was still on the cooling rack. She didn't want to bag it while it was warm. I had some for lunch. Yum, yum!!
This afternoon I got 7 pints of salsa canned. Maybe I will get some peaches done tomorrow.

For exercise, I started to mow the grass in the back yard. Unfortunately, I only got half the yard done before the lawn mower quit. I couldn't get it started again.

It was a good day.

I'm also curious about oatmeal in the slow cooker. Also, have you tried the recipe on SparkPeople (featured recipe) with the oatmeal that you let stand with the milk in the fridge overnight. I was soooooo skeptical, then too curious. I tried it and it was really really good. Sure surprised me....cold oatmeal???
Yes....the fresh fruit is always so good.

Fresh fruit is so good! I have blueberries on my Cheerios every morning. I will miss them when the season is over.

Boy all that fruit sounds so yummy! I used to have some raspberry canes many years ago (like several lifetimes!) Now I seldom buy raspberries because they a soooooo very expensive so I just buy some frozen if I need some for anything.

How do you make oatmeal in a slow cooker?
