Beautiful wedding

Most of you know I was MIA a few days earlier this month for a trip to CA for the wedding of my DGD. I am not adept at inserting pictures into blogs but have posted some on my Spark page.
First off, the two hour time difference was a killer. I think the older we get, the harder the time change becomes. Dinner at eight meant eating at my normal bedtime! The rehearsal was the day we arrived and the rehearsal dinner at the home of the groom's parents followed. I attended the rehearsal but begged off the dinner, being dead tired and ready for bed.
I had a suite at the hotel because my room was the designated "prep" area for the females in the bridal party. I had the bride, MOB, 5 adult attendants, 2 little girl attendants and me all getting beautified in my room. Throw in two hair/makeup artists and chaos reigned! Half a county could have gotten high on the hair spray fumes.
The wedding was lovely and the bride was gorgeous, needless to say. Dinner was excellent, although at that hour, I ate sparingly. The venue was a restaurant high in the Hollywood Hills and the view was breathtaking. Too bad they no longer light up the "Hollywood" sign, but it is still quite visible among the lights of the city.
To all my friends with little ones, I urge you to cherish every minute. I named this child, "Doll Baby" when she was less than a week old and she is still that to me. Where twenty-six years went is a mystery!
