Nag, nag, nag (and an oops!)

All last week, SP was nagging me that my exercise was exceeding my plan, and I needed to redo my calories and carbs vs exercise. I kept the nutrition the same, afraid it was a one time fluke. Today, I went to the gym and did the treadmill for an hour, the 30 minute cardio strength circuit, and just finished walking the dogs for 45 minutes. I also had gone to Furrs for lunch and (ahem) somewhat exceeded my usual intake - I had a huge green salad and fruit for dessert, but they didn't have the usual grilled fish filet I get, so I got their baked fish. Their website says the baked fish is > 600 calories!! I've also had 3 protein bars today. Threw my calories and carbs way, way up (like 500 calories more than my old range). Shoulda stuck to the baked chicken... Decided to redo my expected exercise, and now I'm only exceeding it by 250. Better, huh? Have to remind myself to keep to the lower end of the calorie/carb range, just in case it IS a fluke and my exercise drops off. On my work nights, I can barely do the 35 minute walk with the pups.
No way I could keep up 60 minutes + per day.

Finally stopped raining today. Nice slow, soaking, gentle rain all yesterday and last night, and off & on up to this afternoon. Pleasantly cool, so even Shalako hustled on the evening walk. The weather channel predicts good chances of rain for the next few days - we were behind 2.5 inches, but we've probably caught up about half an inch. Gotta love living in the desert!

    SP ususally yells at me too about my exercise but I have also kept the cals the same in the short term...I do get in exercise consistently but my eating is all over the map lately and I don't want to tempt fate! LOL!

    Sounds like you are doing a whole lot better than most people. I can't seem to find the time for that much exercise.
