THIS WEEKEND!

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Well, it happened!! The culmination of this past year's blood, sweat, tears, gray hair, fussing, encouraging, pushing, robbing Peter to pay Paul, worrying, and non stop praying happened this weekend!

WOO HOO!!! MY BABY IS OFFICIALLY A FRESHMAN IN COLLEGE!!! emoticon

The financial aid is all set, the FAA physicals have been completed, he has a nice roommate, and I was able to pull off giving him the car! He seems excited, even in his laid back way, and I'm definitely excited! The Vincennes campus is very nice and friendly, a plus in my book. Plus, he's met a few kids that graduated from his high school , so he's quite comfortable.

All that I can say is:

LORD, THANK YOU FOR YOUR MANY BLESSINGS!!!

emoticon Go show them what you're made of and what you can do son! Cause I know you're the shiznit with a whole lot of untapped potential! I Love you Man!

    Oh, Y.
I actually choked up reading this because, mother to mother, I felt the same relief, gratitude to God and pride in my guys when they got into the colleges of their choice. Enjoy, bask and do that happy dance in the moment. You deserve it because without your love, sweat and tears he may not have lived up to his potential. What a nice blog to read to drift into the weekend.

I dropped off my second college student last week. I have 2 in college sophomore and freshman.

here's a great website to rent school books and it's very reasonable

    www.chegg.com

my book was $150 in the bookstore and i paid $18 to rent it for the semester.
