I fought the buffet and I won!

Monday, July 27, 2009

Yesterday, for our 7th anniversary, my husband took me to my favorite restaurant, Tokyo 1. It is a japanese buffet with sushi and all sorts of other delicious Japanese foods. I was really careful to log all my food as i ate it, so I had an idea of what was going in to my body. Then we went for a lot of walking afterwards. I ended the day with a 1300 calorie deficit and nearly 11,000 steps taken, according to bodybugg. I can't believe I went to a buffet, enjoyed myself, didn't binge, and didn't screw up my weight loss progress. Super!!

emoticon Your ability to control yourself around so much food is admirable. I see a 'GOAL MET' in your future! emoticon

Thanks for the inspiration. When I visit buffets, I always try to memorize what I eat. I'm sure I miss things that way. I'll take a notepad next time!

Yay You!! That is great. Logging in your points is a great way to keep yourself on track. I took my daughter to a chinese buffet and was scared to death to eat there, but I took a little notepad out of my purse and wrote down everything I ate. She laughed at me of course, but I logged everything in and even though I went over my calories for that day, I still ended up losing 2.7 pounds that week.

    Keep up the good work!!!
