Finally I feel like I'm getting somewhere with my weight loss. Now I am wondering what will happen next week while I'm on vacation. I am hoping that I can at least make time to work out at the resort. I know I'll be doing a lot of walking but not sure that will be enough to balance out what I'll be eating.

I think I need to stay focused on my weight loss and on my inches lost. Maybe that will help me make my meal decisions...I DON'T want to start over!!!

    Sounds like you're ready for vacation! Having a plan means you're ready to have a good time AND stay on track. At a resort you should be able to figure out a way to eat as healthy as possible - chances are they'll be willing to give you double vegetables or an extra-large salad with dressing on the side or make a substitution on a calorie-dense offering. Have a great time and let us know how it goes!

    HAVE AN AWESOME VACATION. I'm leaving tomorrow or Tuesday for mine as well. Will be gone 2-4 weeks and I have been tracking and logging every morsel on the food tracker. It's going to be a bit different being away, but I am determined to eat health and come back lighter than when I left.

    Where are you going on vacation?

    We each have a destination and we each take a different trail, but we will all meet at the goal line. Some take longer than others, packing, getting ready to leave. Some drive slower than others, some stop to smell the roses along the journey, others drive straight through. But Getting there is the important thing.

    We need to get a Specific Mindset to get there. If we don't keep our sites on the Goal/Destination, how are we going to get there.

    Get your tools, use the Nutrition Tracker like a GPS to get to your goal. It's one of the most valuable tools. I would be lost without it. Check it out is you don't already use it. WE all think: OH I'm not eating that much, but putting it down, makes it real.

    Keep blogging, it's great to get your thoughts on paper, so to speak, just like you did here. Even if No one ever reads it, it will help YOU and YOU are the important one in this race/event.

    Hope you have a nice vacation. It is going to be great that you have food and weight loss on your mind. It should control SOME of what you eat. Your walking will be good- but probably not enough to counteract the food as you suspect.
    As long as you want to lose weight- you will get right back on track when you get home and get going again. Best of luck to you. You do need the vacation to relax though.
    Let us know how you make out and that you have got back on track when you return. emoticon Don't forget to drink plenty of water. emoticon
