Tomorrow is the last day of May. Where did the month go? As this month ends, I am pondering the goals I've made for myself. I still think I need to lose 5 pounds to get to an 'ideal' for me but am not having a lot of luck. I just got the okay to reinstate weight training since my surgery in January so am hopeful to get moving on that to see if I can get the metabolism moving again. Yes, once you turn 50 it gets harder. I am proud of myself as it will be two full months since I decided to give up my diet coke and I did meet my goal of an average of 13k steps daily for the month. I did exceed this everyday except one when I got sick and only got a little over 6k. All-in-all, I am happy with the month and in reviewing my stats, there has been improvement each month this year.
So, for the month of June I need to mix it up some. I will raise my step goal to 14k daily and will get the weight training started and see what happens. I also want to work on doing better on my eating and being more strict to see that I get enough protein each day. All of these are realistic and for me definitely attainable.
June, here I come!
