keeping up the exercise

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

as a diabetic I keep my BS under control...I eat 6 small meals a day...My problem is keeping up my exercise....I watch my grandson 5 days a week and that is exercise, but I know I need more and I do some days and sometimes its easier to relaz when I get home an do nothing....plus most weekends I go out to visit my 87 yrs young mother and sister who lives with her and is mentally challenged and 70 yrs old...so I am kept pretty busy and that is what is in my head...telling me I get enough exercise when I know I really don't....so will try and try again to do better. emoticon

My late husband was diabetic so I know how hard it is to keep the blood sugar controlled and congratulations to you on doing that. When I was working, I found it easier to exercise as soon as I got home BEFORE I parked my behind in a comfy chair. Once down, it was hard to motivate myself to move again. Maybe you can surreptitiously get the five year old involved in walks, active games, etc. Just tossing out a few ideas here. Good luck!

Well you are getting exercise and working hard, so you deserve some praise for that. It's good that you are motivated to do more though. Maybe a nice brisk walk in the evening would help you to relax and do you good as well. Cheers, Patricia. emoticon
