I was thrilled to step on the scale this morning and see that I am down 1.5 pounds from last week. That puts me at 150.5. I am down seven pounds so far this year. The 140’s are just around the corner!
I was very active and healthy all week…until Saturday night when I went out drinking with friends. First of all, I consumed way too much alcohol. The alcohol led me to make poor food decisions later in the evening…too much sushi! And the next day I was absolutely useless: I didn’t exercise at all (barely moved from the couch) and ate a lot of crap (soda and chips). This experience makes me wonder if I should add a rule about alcohol. Hmm…I don’t think so. I really don’t drink that often. And when I do, I am usually able to consume a little more responsibly than I did on Saturday.
I’m also excited about the fact that I have not been to a fast food restaurant in over 5 weeks! Sadly, that is a pretty big achievement for me.
I am also continuing to make improvements to my sleeping habits, and I’m noticing a lot of positive results there.
