Trader Joes, I love you!

Sunday, January 25, 2009

I went to Trader Joes last night to get some goodies for my kitchen. I like their frozen vegetables -- great quality. I don't always go there because other grocery stores are more conveniently located near me, but I needed something to give me a boost for this week. I'm one of those freaky people who loves to grocery shop. I could spend hours in a store. I want to do your shopping! Anyhow here are some of the goodies that I bought: frozen grilled eggplant and zucchini, soycotash (edamame, red peppers, and corn), edamame in shells, steel cut Irish oats (the authentic stuff to make porridge), cashew butter, No Pudge Brownie Mix, low fat string cheese, unsalted almonds, veggie ribs, and, my week's end treat, an organic dark chocolate bar with pecans and raisins. (That's all gone, now. New week, no chocolate.) I have so many yummy goodies. I do need to go to my regular grocery store for some other stuff, like fresh produce and bread. I plan on making lots of good, healthy food from my veggie supply, though. Yeah, I love Trader Joes. Good stuff there. Now all I need is a Whole Foods nearer to me and I'll be all set.
