Phoenix-The Happy Ending
Sunday, December 14, 2008

A week ago this past friday-I took Phoenix into the vet's and had a blood test done to determine if he were heart worm free at last.
The 10 minutes seemed to drag by and I was so scared...............I heard the timer go off and whispered in Phoenix's ear, "This is it boy-here we go"............
The vet slowly stepped into the room and quietly stood there for a moment. All of a sudden she broke into a wide smile and said "He is fine! He is negative! He is just perfect!" Well of course I cried and thanked them and we all hugged Phoenix and he jumped around and was dancing and wagging his tail as if he knew this celebration was all for him!
He weighs 49.5 pounds-almost twice as much as when I got him from the pound and he is beautiful...................
This past Tuesday night he stayed overnight at the vets and Wednesday he was neutered......................
I have to keep him quiet and relaxed for 10 days and then we will begin the training between Shadow and him.......................
We have moved his crate out into the living room to be among the other dogs and he gets an hour of playtime in the evening with kasa and tu.................On the weekends he gets 2-3 hours of exercise with the two girls and alone with us........
What a Christmas we will have with the four of them this year!
Merry Christmas to All of you!
Husky hugs for everyone!
Phoenix is OKAY!!!!!
