Birthday Gift

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Today is my birthday and I must say I feel better than I have in so very long.

What a great gift to be able to get up in the morning( not so stiff) work out at Curves then walk a couple of miles on my lunch. Then to go for a bike ride with my daughter at the end of the day and still have a little energy at the end of the day ( gone are the days of just making it home from work and taking a nap on the couch).

What a gift it has been to be able to walk about with my granddaughter and not get out of breath ( even at 25 pounds) When she was born carrying her in her car seat would take the wind right out of me. Now I can walk a mile carrying her in my arms

What a gift each and every day has been since my diagnosis of Cancer. To be a survivor is one of the greatest gifts of all

What a gift I have found in Spark People, the friends I am making here are just so much support. I can not imagine my life would be without all of you.

What a gift I have been given to have a supportive family who loves me.

What a wonderful Birthday this has been to reflect on the last year and the changes it has brought is just amazing. From watching my first granchild grow to learning to live a healthy lifestyle. What a difference a year can make.
Cheers to the next year!!!!!!!!!! Bring it on!!!!!!!!
