07/05: today's thoughts - survival bag

Saturday, July 05, 2008

Since I just posted al my vacation tracking not food or exercise, I wanted to comment on my survival bag.

It really helped, I can see that it will evolve into something different as time goes on. I have already decided to add items for the next trip.

BUT IT worked! I lost a pound I had gained before vacation plus another 1/2 pound. I am amazed. I didn't have a calorie tracker but was going on what I had, apparently , learned from tracking food here.

I drank more water & I exercised more than on most vacations - not enough but more.

For next trip, I am adding a list of goals I should be tracking & posting it in my notebook. Think I will include exercise, water, food, personal & team challenges....

I am excited! emoticon

I like this survival bag idea! I'm going to start thinking about what I want to put in mine. Maybe the extra weight of the bag helped you lose that extra 1/2 pound! Hmmm. Maybe I'll add a 5 pound weight to mine. LOL!
    Congratulations on your success!

I don't track food on Spark. I picked up a journal at book store.
just seems easier. Well done on vac. I'll have to look into a survival bag for next time.
i sure could have used one for my vac!!!!

Great! I am so impressed by the survival bag idea!
I haven't made my "cute" one, but have been using just a plain tote. In it I have a Kashi bar, bottle of water, Bible, notepad and pen, WW magazine, small blanket (like a receiving blanket, I'm usually cold) and other things according to the day. This is a great idea. I think in putting it together andtaking it each day, it puts me in the right frame of mind to be healthier daily!

    Thanks friend! emoticon
