slacking on the site

Monday, May 19, 2008

It isnt that I gave up. My coworker decided to quit and that left our department with just myself to do the work of 2 people. Of course at that point everything broke and made things twice as hard. I have been working 60+ hours a week and between working and getting my workouts in I am too tired to update here most days. I also woke up to a swollen face and an abcessed tooth. Oh man it hurts. Still waiting to get in the dentist to get it pulled. It has made eating unpleasant. Soft foods. Probably not all good for me. I did have a decent salad today. went to Sweet Tomatoes with a friend today and he is also trying to lose weight. He felt a salad was good for him. I kept saying the gobs of dressing was ruining the nutritional values of the veggies he had. Then he got quite a few pieces of the cheese pizza bread stuff they have. He loves that stuff. Well I went to the site to look up the values for him and his dressing and bread sticks alone dropped him a cool 50-60 grams of fat. I didnt even add in the pasta and potato salad he had as well. It was worse than eating at a crappy fast food place. he went on a long walk with me tonight. I told him if he is serious I dont mind helping him. I have to work out anyways and now that work is starting to slow a tiny bit I will be able to work out more. My medicine I was taking bloated me out so bad and that is finally going down so I will be walking more often and hitting the gym again hopefully to take my dance class as I really enjoyed it. We burned almost 300 calories walking tonight. None of that pansy slow walking. I had him power walking and sweating. I am emailing him the info on his meal and a few alternatives so maybe he will understand that what looks good isnt always that good and how one wrong move ruins it.

I am going to try to get back here at least every other day.For now I must get in bed. I am exhausted and have to get up early to call the car dealership because my car went wonky today and I need it looked at.
