I met Trent from the Biggest Loser!!!

Tuesday, May 06, 2008

This was just so exciting, I had to share. :) I was staying in a hotel in NY this past weekend, and went down to breakfast in the morning and noticed a man wearing a tee-shirt that said "Pride on Three!". Being a Biggest Loser junkie, I smiled and thought to myself, "A biggest loser fan!" Then, I looked at his face and realized -- NO! A Biggest Loser! It was Trent! For those of you not as obsessed as I, he was the Yogi-master black guy who hurt his knee -- Roger's teammate. He was one of my favorites. Anyway, it turned out he is the NICEST GUY!! After I interrupted his breakfast (and apologized for interrupting his breakfast!) to ask him if he was indeed who I thought he was, he talked to me for a long time, telling me about what it was like being on the show. I told him about all the hard work I've done losing 70 pounds this year, and how inspiring I found him and all the other folks on BL. He's lost 142 pounds, he told me! He looks great. :) And he really was as nice as he looked on the show -- just the most decent guy you could ever meet. He said that he and Roger are starting a foundation to work with young people on fitness and nutrition, called "Pride on Three!" -- so keep an eye out for it.

It's so amazing to know that these are real people who have transformed their lives, just like all of us are striving to do every day. I can't believe I actually ran into Trent, in a Hampton Inn in upstate New York. :)

That's amazing! I am so jealous!

I met Randall from "The Apprentice" in the Tampa airport a couple of years ago, unfortunately he was surrounded by fans and I was unable to spend any time with him, but your story is so much better!

The best part of your entry is congrats on your 70lb!!! I have about 70 to go now so let me in on your secret!!! emoticon
