4/17/08 A picture is worth a thousand words!

Thursday, April 17, 2008

I am blogging today for a challenge, the question is:
How do you feel today?

Is a picture is worth a thousand words?

If not, here it is in words:
1. Having surgery sucks.
2. The aftermath of sugery sucks.
3. My appetite is back and that sucks.
4. Eating take out everynight sucks.
5. Three weeks of "no exercise" sucks.
6. Cabin fever, but not feeling up to doing anything, sucks.
7. Stretching sucks.
8. Feeling bloated sucks.
9. Feeling like a weight loss failure sucks(Up 6 pounds today).
10. I want to scream and that sucks.

Thanks for another great week!

Lynn, I don't know what type of surgery you had, but give your body a chance to heal and don't beat yourself up so much. I'm very sorry for your weight gain, but I know you'll take it off. Get that positive attitude back and lets kick some butt.

    Lynn, Lynn, Lynn...

There you go, expecting too much of your poor old bod again! Bloated... gained weight.... uh, do you think it might have to do with your particular surgery? I am guessing that hormones are very out of wack with the type of surgery you had and the bloating too has to be due to all the "messing around in there!" This is a temporary situation and you are bored and frustrated... You said yourself that it was going to be several weeks before you could do anything... I am pushing the book I read AGAIN... it is the perfect time for you to read it.. I think it will give you a boost... "Ultra Metabolism" just in case you forgot.... it is an education so that you can understand even more about how your body works... my friend even found it at Target... Have someone go out and get it for you! push, push, push...

I care, as do all of the great supporters who commented before me! You will get through this with bells on! Of this I am 100% sure!

Thanks for blogging this! we are all in the same boat remember... it just isn't your turn to row right now, so enjoy the break!

    much love, Kathy

See all those people that love you???? You are not a failure and I guess what people say is true. Nurses and doctors make terrible patients! Now if that didn't hurt too much when you laughed I'm looking forward to be able to do that more!

LOL You look like that cat too! Fat and angry. But I still love you anyway. It will get better, you'll be able to work out again, and get back on track. Just worry about getting your oldself back, then worry about taking those extra pounds off. It's probably just water weight anyway.

    I love you Mommy!! :)

Awww Lynn,it will get better,I promise.
You really need to relax and let nature take her course right now dear....I know it's hard as I have been through some rough surgeries myself....and take it from me...time heals.
As for the weight gain....don't worry...think about what you have accomplished and go from there...you have done an awesome job and I know it will come off in time....I think deep down you know that too!
Rest easy and I will be on the messenger if you want to vent!
Many hugs to you g/f emoticon

Lynn, I love the pic. Especially that annoyed squinty look on the kitty. NOW, if U can't laugh @ that, then we REALLY need to talk. Otherwise, I know U are going to be fine. This too, shall pass. U are like me, impatient when it comes health issues. Even tho U & I both know, quick fixes cure nothing, we still want the quick fix. Patient when it comes to us being healthy, WE ARE NOT! It's all I can do NOT to go over to the TV & put in my yoga, resistance band, or even my new Tae Bo DVDs! I'm actually going stir crazy. I don't know which is worse, having the nice weather & not being able to get out in it or are able to get out & having crappy weather (like here in Nebraska). Slow & easy wins the race! Just think when U are all well & raring to go, NO TOMs to get in your way! WOOHOO! Now that's something to celebrate! Many hugs, dear friend! Ruth

Well now, are we having a bad day? I feel and look like the cat in your picture so now you know how I feel some days. Getting over surgery sucks, to be sure. Part of the way you are feeling is due to the anesthesia and the blues are part of it. Just think of how great you are going to feel when you are healed and feeling so much better than you were before the surgery. BTW, you are not a weight loss loser...look how far you've come. This is only a tiny setback and as soon as you are feeling well again you will take those pounds right back off. TAke care of yourself and I hope you'll be feeling better really soon.

    Hugs,
    Sharon

BIG HUG, Lynn! Take it one day at a time and do what you can. Look back at what you HAVE accomplished and keep it in mind. You'll heal and feel better and move on your downward journey! I'm counting on it because I'm with you and I'd hate to go it alone!

Now, take a DEEEEEEEP breath (if you can). Blow it out. And relax.

    Love ya! Beverly
