Day 2 Blog/Day 5 Journey

So it's Friday, and I have had 4 really good eating days, I've increased my activity and today, for the first time this week, I'm actually going to get to the GYM!!! It has been quite a while since I've been there, and I am really looking forward to it. I seem to have settled into a good routine of paying attention to what I'm eating, journaling religiously, and at least thinking about moving, if not moving as much as I'd have liked this week.
My short term goals for this weekend are: 1. to get to the gym today, Saturday and Sunday. 2. to continue to make good eating choices. I'd also like to try to do something social this weekend, because lately I feel like I'm more and more isolated from the world. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my husband and my son, and I certainly don't mean to sound like I don't want them to be involved in the "something social" I'm hoping for...but for many reasons, it's just been us for a lot of the past months, and I feel lonely. I am a very social creature and, I know part of it is just that it's been a LONG winter here in the northeast, but I need a bit more these days. So here's hoping it happens..
I also hope to cook more fresh food than relying on packaged, sodium and preservative filled food. Because I work, it is SO much easier to rely on pre-packaged head starts for meals...crock pot ingrdients in a frozen bag, hamburger helper type meal starters, etc..but the nutritional values in these itesm are too high..way too high. So, this weekend, I hope to spend some time finding healthier alternatives that I can still prepare fast.. I've already started to plan the "how to" in my head.
I'm hopeing for a positive weekend with a positive outcome..
