Woo hoo!See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerJC Penney's had a huge sale today so I decided to get 2 pairs of pants. My normal 20W pants are now way too baggy after losing 32 pounds. I was shocked to fit comfortably into a size 12 regular. I still have fat that hangs over the waist, but they button and zip without forcing it and feel comfortable. So I was pretty excited. Today I feel calm, focused, and hopeful. I feel okay again and ready to keep going. I feel okay again and ready to keep going. Let's do this!See this image larger~~~ Happy Dance ~~~ My goal for December was to get into the 170's by New Year's Eve. But then I had some slips & struggled a lot. I'm finally back on track now. Today I got a nice surprise when I weighed in.....179.5. I'm there! Just barely, but I'm there. See this image largerI'm curious how many people on Spark are doing low carb versus low fat. What plan are you following and how would you rate your progress? Thanks in advance.See this image largerWinter Challenge AwardsSee this image largerDogs have the right idea. We should all have this attitude, especially as we go through this challenging path to better health. :)See this image largerWoke up feeling blessed today. Trying to focus on living in the moment and doing things that bring me joy (or at least calmness) throughout the day. :) See this image largerSee this image largerOMG. The strangest thing happened. I had 3 bites of fresh pineapple and got so sick. I was in bed most the afternoon. Stomach pain and throwing up. It finally seems to be okay now. I had some Irish Soda Bread from Stater Brothers and it actually helped settle my stomach. My calories will be VERY low today. Ugh!See this image largerSee this image largerJust sitting here feeling so excited at the idea of weighing in the 160's again. I still have about 14 pounds to get there & then an additional 30 to get to my goal weight. But still the idea of almost being in the 60's is so exciting to me. I just can not wait to see those numbers!! :) See this image largerTried this today. It was very good and low carb. I will definitely get it again. Heat up in the oven for a better taste and more crispy texture than microwave. *thumbs up*See this image largerTried this today from Trader Joe's. It was very good and low carb. I'm finding my digital scale can sometimes show a one-pound gain within minutes. So I'm thinking about going back to a manual scale. Today I weighed on both and the manual was 2 pounds less.See this image largerInteresting and simple thing to remind myself each morning. I'm happy with the choices I made today to Get Slimmer. I was shopping all day so near food courts (which I LOVE) but I made great choices (grilled chicken and steamed broccoli.) One day at a time.See this image largerI'm convinced now that food is a drug that can either make you happy or depressed. I feel happy for no reason when I'm on track with healthy eating. When I'm not, my mood takes a nosedive. Lately, I'm very happy because I'm on track, exercising, taking vitamins, and getting enough sleep. See this image largerSo excited to be 7 pounds away from being in the 60's. I just can't wait to finally get there. Keep going everyone!See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerShockingly, it seems like random men I see in stores when I'm shopping are starting to flirt with me again. It's been so long.See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerTwo days in a row at the gym. I'm feeling empowered by it. This gym has all ages and fitness levels. It's very inspiring. See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerVery interesting article. "What No One Tells You About Losing Lots of Weight" https://www.thecut.com/2013/11/wh

See this image largerTried my first "Burger in a Box" (or burger bowl) today from Five Guys. There's grilled mushrooms underneath the burger. Yum!See this image largerLosing weight is SO much harder than I thought it would be. I started almost a year ago. I have no idea why my body doesn't seem to want to get under 174 pounds. It's like a brick wall I keep hitting. But I'll just keep being strict and doing my plan. It's better than going off my plan for a week out of frustration only to have to start back again. I've already done that several times and it sucks. See this image largerDress shopping for a formal event has been a nightmare, so I gave myself a 2-month break from looking. I started back up again today. The last 7 or 8 pounds I lost makes a huge difference. I guess every step along the way, no matter how big or small helps. I have time to lose 10 more before I finally have to pick a dress. So I'm feeling a little more hopeful now. (Okay, I will calm down now that I got that off my chest. Lol) See this image largerWow! So weird to think of it this way. That's a lot. See this image largerSee this image largerI'm trying not to focus too much on the scale but I'm excited to be only 3 pounds from one of my main goals....to be in the 150's.See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerStarting 2nd day back on track. I feel so much better when I'm not stuffing my face. One day at a time but I'm going to get to my target weight in 2020! I can feel it. See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerAs the New Year approaches, I'm praying I can undo the damage I've done over vacation and the holidays and get back on track. I am still ahead of where I was last year, but I really need to figure out how to end my compulsive overeating for good. Good luck to everyone in the New Year!
