As of April 2011, I became a graduate of Lambton College’s three year Massage Therapy program and received the prestigious recognition of the Dean’s Award. Throughout my studies, and avid participation and interest in athletics, I have also received the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association’s All-Academic Award.

Though I am a newly registered massage therapist, I have already gained invaluable clinical experience by treating healthy as well as medically fragile individuals in several reputable healthcare environments including Petrolia’s Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital, Marshall Gowland Manor and Bridgeview Public School in Point Edward.

I have always been intrigued and engaged with the human body, its structures and how it functions. My unique specialization is my keen understanding of the body and how posture, illness and activity affect it. With this appreciation of human anatomy and physiology, I am able to effectively recognize and address clinically indicated issues with the intervention of massage therapy or make referral to appropriate professionals.

Having also completed a Cadaver Workshop at the Hawaii Institute of Anatomy, I have cultivated a respect, insight and greatly improved familiarity for human anatomy through dissection, palpation and examination of a donated cadaver; an opportunity that many do not receive.

While medications have an appropriate place in society, I prefer to assist the body in natural ways without synthetic means if possible. I truly believe that with commitment and sufficient effort, the intervention of massage therapy and its related modalities can help to uphold and improve the health and functionality of the musculoskeletal system.

My primary personal focus is preventative and rehabilitative treatments of chronic and repetitive strain conditions that develop through the performance of everyday occupation and leisure responsibilities. I receive great gratification in helping to restore a person’s ability to perform daily or functional activities and aid in their return to an improved quality of life.

I am very eager to give back to my community and hope that many receive benefit, no matter their age, gender, occupation, lifestyle or injury.
