I am here to slim down after the birth of my daughter and in general get healthier. I have two children, who are almost 4 and almost 2.

I did really well during the first part of 2010. I lost 30 lbs, almost effortlessly thanks to the breastfeeding. Then around Easter, I stopped nursing. And there was a lot of candy around. Then it was grilling season, and I love grilled food. Then I broke my toe, and could barely walk, let alone exercise (not that I was doing too much of that anyway) So I gained some weight. Not much, only 10 lbs, but it has GOT to go. I am tired of being the fat friend, fat mom and just tired of being fat in general. I'm tired of my own excuses

I am not going on a diet, I am changing my lifestyle. I am going to eat better, and Ii am going to be more active. I want to set a healthy example for my kids, not show them how to sit on the couch and eat. I want to be able to run and ride bikes with my kids, and not be tired.

I WILL lose the weight.

My Goals:
I would like to lose 40 pounds, and get to an ideal weight of 160 pounds. I would like to be able to ride my bike to work, and drop off the kids at daycare on my way (About 7 miles, very hilly)
Goal 1: 190 lbs - dumbells for Wii Fit.

Goal 2: 180 lbs -
Buy some new craft items.

My Program:
I am starting out by changing my diet. Then I will gradually increase my activity level and add in cardio and strength training sessions.

Personal Information:
I am a wife, mom, student, and intern Architect in Iowa.

Other Information:
I love to read, scrapbook and sew.

    Getting healthy is great for you, for your son, and for your entire family as well. Learing to be active (exercise) will help you lose weight and will help you run after your little one before long.
