Hello! I am a young 46 year old single mom starting over again. I need to lose 45 pounds. I've tried dieting over and over but failed. Counting calories worked for me once when I was only a little over weight. So this time I hope to succeed with the help of SPARKPEOPLE. I am going slow getting into the habit of logging my eating. It's very bad. But I am more aware and I will soon make some new changes to my eating habits.

My Goals:
I hope to lose five pound by Sept 7, 2008.
I hope to be working out 30- to 45 minutes a day by Sept 30. I'm taking baby steps.

My Program:
 Changing my eating habits, and adding daily exercies.

    You have the right attitude. Once you sub, you can sometimes get long-term subbing assignments - then it's a natural move into a classroom of your own.

    I am in Indiana near Cincinnati. My son is in Arlington at UTA in Grad school.

    I had not heard about all the layoffs in Texas. Our schools and teachers are certainly bearing the brunt of immigration. Being in the center of the country, we don't have many minorities.

    I have been teaching for 14 years now. I've certainly seen a lot of changes.
