My name is Tpromise. I am taking this weight loss journey to improve my health and to look and feel fabulous! I've had an issue with my weight since I was about 8 years old ( 2nd grade), that's when I and family members started noticing the pudge coming. I ate for losts of reasons, because the food was good and my granny told me to eat more, because it tasted good, because I was bored, depressed, lonely, not confident in myself, sad, happy, and the list goes on and on... I am tired of the weight, so it's time, really time to do something about it. I also have type 2 diabetes ( runs in the family--not an excuse, but it does), semi high blood pressure and cholesterol issues. ( Usually if you're diagnosed with diabetes, doc's automatically give you pills for HBP and Cholesterol too :( I'm tired of the weight, the pills, the uncomfortable feeling of being in this skin. I'm here to finally follow through. I think that by blogging, and logging my info here will help keep me accountable, and also encouraged by everyone else who's here and who's succeeded. I also know that one of the major issue to conquer weight is in my head. If I could disciplilne myself, think confidently, believe in myself, then I can do it. I can do it!

My Goals:
My overall goal is to lose 150 pounds within the next two years ( by 2010). I plan to do this by losing 10 per month. It will take me until May 2010 to lose the 150 pounds. My other goals are to get off of all meds for diabetes, HBP, and cholesterol.


My Program:
To meet these goals, my plan is to exercise at least 30-90 minutes per day, and eat 5-6 small, healthy meals per day. I also plan to incorporate daily meditation/positive visualization, and daily affirmations.

My name is Tpromise. I'm 31. I live in Texas. I've been happily married for 10 years to my wonderful husband D.


Other Information:
My favorite color is purple. Some of my favorite books are self improvement books, inspirational books. Love all of Valorie Burton's books. I like to read, go to the movies, hang out with friends.

    Hello,

    Just wanted to welcome you to spark and to the group. Be encouraged and know that hardest part is actually in your mind, but once you can get over that hurdle, then your good. I'm still on my journey as well. Its not easy but it will be worthy in the long run. One of the people on spark has a statement on their page that I speak everyday, sometimes 25 times a day and it says, "A year from now, you will have wished you started today." Well, I use it in every aspect, a year from now, I'm going to wish I put that burger down...lol! But welcome, and be encouraged. I love you and you can't do nothing about it!

    Thanks for adding me as a friend. It is truly time to put yourself first-Just think that when you are healthy, you and everyone around you will be happy!!We do not realize the burden we put on our loved ones when they worry that we are not in the best health.
    So, it's time to be FINE in 2009!!!

    Let me know what I can do to help and or motivate.

    I am back on track myself starting today. I have been on vacation from everything for this holiday. SO, as they say in my family "My FREEDOM PAPERS have been burned!!"-so back to my plan-NO more indulgences. LOL

    We can be buddies if you would like-It's easier when you have someone to talk to about the ups and downs of this journey.
