Introduction Text I have had constant pain for several years. My knees are at lest 50 years older than I am making exercise difficult. The time has come to develop some new habits and lose these extra pounds. I am 71 years old and have been trying to lose weight off and on since I was twelve. Being raised in a good Pennsylvania Dutch home, there were plenty of carbohydrates to devour. I have been married for 47 years and now live in Connecticut.Before I joined Spark People I lost 65 pounds and maintained that . Now I have another 70 pounds to lose. My friends call me Marcia.

I want to improve my health and build up strength and stamina. Short term goal, lose 20 pounds. Long term goal, lose 60 pounds.

I have drastically changed my eating habits and cut down on unplanned snacking. I have been able to stay in control even when travelling. I have also become more active although exercise continues to not be my friend.



Happy moments, PRAISE GOD. Difficult moments, SEEK GOD. Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD. Painful moments, TRUST GOD. Every moment, THANK GOD.
