I'm TN Southern gal and I WANT and NEED to lose weight. My wife of 10+ years has cancer and I take care of her. I've noticed that when I'm stressed I tend to NOT Sleep and I end up watching movies and playing internet games. This is NOT how I pictured my life 20 years ago. I am disgusted with my weaknesses of being lazy when it comes to exercising. "Get busy Living or Get busy Dying" ~Shawshank Redemption~ I'm ready to push myself to limits that used to be so easy for me. Like running, Playing Baseball, Building and Remodeling, the list goes on and on.

Fitness Minutes: 110

My Goals:
My Short Term Goal is to lose 30 pounds by Thanksgiving.
My long term goal is to lose 150 pounds by Sept 4th 2012.


My Program:
I don't really have a set program. My life is consumed with caring for my wife who has cancer, our home, our 4 pets and 10 acre farm. Depending on what is going on with her health, determines what will be done with my day.



Personal Information:
I'm 42 and my wife is about to turn 56. she has been my best friend for 23 years and my spouse for a lil over 10 years. I have always had problems with sleep, forgetting to eat, severe headaches, and my weight has been like a yo-yo until 2001 and then I just began gaining weight and rarely losing. Other than being fat, I am very happy with my life.


Other Information:
At night when I can't sleep, I play pogo and on Facebook. I think I will now use some of this time to also exercise. I am smoker. I smoke about 10 cigs a day or less depending on my stress levels. I know I need to quit but I'm being told pick one or the other lose weight or quit smoking but don't try and do both at the same time. So I have chosen to lose weight first with the hopes that smoking will become less and less apart of my daily living.

    Sorry to hear that your Sweetie has cancer.
    She is lucky to have a dedicated and loving spouse.
    As you exercise, your body might decide it wants to breathe better. That ill be the motivation for quitting smoking! Have carrots on hand to keep that hand to mouth fixation satisfied! I've heard that sitting on a stability ball while computing, actually makes you use your core muscles while sitting.
    I haven't tried it yet, but I intend to.
