ANGEL1066
Welcome. I too am fascinated by our collective hebrew heritage, and have an equally complicated route to the Lord. It is amazing how He leads us! He put me into the Catholic Church some 30 years ago, so I think this is for keeps for me, but it was by way through Native American[I have mixed ancestry] & Eastern religions, Hebrew study, ESP & other odd practices, then non-denominational Christianity, then the charismatic movement ... Once you find Him directly, the movements & denominations become beside the point, & where you go to fellowship is a matter of walking in obedience. I do hope you will find help for your journey here. I also struggle with weight issues & have found many helps here, & much encouragement, which for me is even more important. God Bless! May the Light of the World always guide you! 3965 days ago
LAKOTALADY
Wado Tee for your comments! I'm so glad that you realized that Jesus is the only sacrifice you ever need. He did, in fact, shed His blood for all of us!! Prayer IS my comfort, believe me. When all else fails, He's there in my prayer time....He's with me when no one else is and whenever I need Him. No, I was not raised Christian, even though my Grandparents were devoted Christians. I've often said that they "rubbed" off on me and made me what I am today. I freely admit that their influence on me really did shape my life. Glad to know you, buddy!
DJ4HEALTH
I was on allot more medications before I started losing weight and now I am on just two. It also seems like when I go to the doctors they want to give me more medications and I have told them no thank you because I feel like I do not need them. Plus they were giving me them because I am on a steroid and they said that they were giving me them so that my stomach would not get holes in them but I also know that the meds that they were trying to give me would cause more problems, 1. prevacid would give me heartburn . flosamax would kill my bones. So I told that doctor Thanks but no thanks. I think that it surprised him too but I did not want those meds. The second one also causes rotten jaw syndrome. Like I needed that. Thanks for the prayers too. 3966 days ago

CORNWALLCATE
I have a very good friend who lives in Devon. That is the next county to Cornwall. I visited in 2007, and instantly fell in love with Cornwall. I was alone for the most part, as my friend had to work. I spent a lot of time walking in Cornwall, and met wonderful friendly people. I love the rugged coast of Cornwall, and the sea.
I think I fell in love with Cornwall long before I visited there, mainly because of books by Daphne DuMaurier, and other English writers.
