New Year, New Me!

3-YEAR LONG TERM GOALS for 2018-2021
1. lose 100 pounds
2. make fitness a natural part of my week
3. make healthy food choices a natural daily activity
4. allow for guilt-free treat days

SHORT TERM for 2018:
Lose 10 pounds from today, 2/05/18 to 4/05/18

Action Plan:
1. Fitness:
a. Do cardio/strength training 2 times per week
b. Strength training 2-3 X per week
c. Increase daily steps

2. Diet:
a. Eat 3 nutritionally balanced, healthy meals per day to include at least 4 vegetables and fruits daily, a low fat protein per meal
b. Drink at least 10 glasses of water daily

3. Emotional/Mental Health:
a. Plan meals and schedule workouts
b. Sleep ~ Get 7-8 hours per night!
c. Daily positive self-talk.
d. Daily spiritual reading.
e. Weekly Spark interaction
f. Evaluate my goals monthly to make any necessary changes
g. Chart weight weekly on Monday mornings. Chart my fitness minutes in my weight calendar. Chart weight monthly on Spark

Evaluate my goals regularly to make necessary changes.

Get 7-8 hours sleep nightly.

Daily prayer and positive self-talk.

2. Find fitness activities that I enjoy and do them consistently; a sedentary lifestle is not an option.

My name is Susie. I'm a 61 year old, retired teacher, from Missouri. I've been blessed with a strong faith, a good family and many friends, all of which are important to me.

I've been overweight since I was a child. I will never give up on changing that!

    Yes, I was diagnosed with diabetes just in November myself. I'm still trying to learn what to eat or not to eat..It gets hard at times. I am angry that I have it, but all I can do now is try to control it...I had gestational diabetes 18 yrs ago when pregnant with my twins, so I had a very good chance of getting it later in life. Here's to us and our continued journeys..through weight and health.
