April 2020 ... Time to take hold of the reigns. By March 2022 I will be:

* 100lbs lighter (7st 2lbs)
* Fit & Flexible
* Powerful to the core
* Emotionally strong and balanced

Member Since: 9/20/2018

My Goals:
* Long term to lose 100lbs by March 2022 at 1lb a week
* To massively rejuvenate my body gifting myself with excellent flexibility and core strength
* To continue to build a strong network of loving, supportive friends around me
* To generate an excellent, sustainable income from creative work that I love - and loves me back
* To enjoy my life and make the most of it

My Program:
* Slow and steady: 1lb a week is achievable, healthy and sustainable - and the weight will stay off
* Healthy carbs
* Real life balance - no fads, no binges, be blood-sugar-level aware
* Treat my body and my life like a river - only put in what keeps it clear, flowing and strong

It's all about building strength, balance and flexibility now and for a lifetime.

Personal Information:
I live in London, UK. Until recently I was looking after my father who has dementia (but retains an excellent sense of humour) but he is now safely in a residential home. So I have to reinvent my life just in the midst of the Covid19 outbreak and the resulting changes and current lockdown. I have taken a bit of time out before Easter 2020 to decompress after the events of the last few years. Now it is time to create a new life for myself. I am a survivor - I've proved that over and over - now it's time to be a thriver.

Other Information:
My favourite advice from SP articles:

* "Don’t do anything to lose weight you can’t do forever. The minute you revert to 'normal' eating, the weight comes back."
* "It took me a year to lose 100 pounds, which means that I focused on only what I could change at that stage of my journey. If I had tried to change every single thing I was doing -- from what I was eating to how I was exercising -- I would have burned out by month three. Because it took me that long to lose the weight, I was able to maintain the small changes that lead to my success."

    The meme I posted is a take on the original Niemöller poem:
    First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
    Because I was not a socialist.
    Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
    Because I was not a trade unionist.
    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
    Because I was not a Jew.
    Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me

    Right now, in Portland and other areas, journalists are being targeted by police and federal agents, "roughed up, targeted and shot at" according to one.

    That meme makes the case that, if we do not stand up for the press, we will literally not know what's happening afterward.

    Phew! Thanks for asking and wishing you a lovely Monday evening!

    I can vividly picture the outside of the parrot shop! That's fabulous.
    What can I share that compares? I worked on the set of Free Willy, 2, which was filmed on the islands of WA State. Awful film, though.
    When wife and I visited in October, we got completely hooked on Gogglebox and are now finding it on YouTube when we can. I don't know why watching other people watch TV is so hilarious, but it truly is. :)

    Thanks for the smile! The humidity here has just been brutal! I don't even get a block down the street before sweat is dripping down my face. Yucky, yucky, yucky!
