“If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember that this whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse.” (Walt Disney)

I started working toward becoming a healthier version of me on January 18, 2013. At that time, my goal was to consistently use the gym membership I've been paying for and to curb my mindless snacking. I've never been a huge binge eater. But I am definitely the girl who would forego a normal dinner to eat an entire bag of Doritos.

After losing 18 pounds and then hitting a three-week plateau, I decided to jump in and start using some more of the Spark tools. I had only been using the weight tracker, but thought why not go for it and see what else I can find to motivate me. I haven't lost my motivation; I just figured some more couldn't hurt. So for some reason, I hit the "reset" button and now I have 11 pounds to go.

I'm trying not to get sucked in to the message boards. I believe there is a wealth of information to be found there, but previous message board experiences have not been kind to me so I probably won't be posting there. Just a personal preference for my own sanity. I'm a shy, quiet person and tend to sacrifice face-to-face interaction for online conversation and I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone... which includes meeting new people and going on new adventures.

I am walking the Color Run on August 17th and my goal weight is to be at 135 at that point. I have since modified by goal weight to 130, but original goal of 135 on 8/17 remains.

Hello. Thanks for sharing your tool for beating night time snacking. I don't pre-measure, always thinking I can stop. I can't. Sounds like I better pre-portion out the snack foods. Yesterday I was at 1200 calories before I opened the tub of ice cream and I couldn't stop and then exceeded my daily calorie range. I am very disappointed in me. Time to shake it off and just get back to focusing on the new day ahead of me.

Yes, I miss comments posted too. It can easily happen. It is always a nice surprise to hear from someone any time, so no worries.

I like the M-F routine for health and fitness, even though emoticon I miss the weekend relaxation. For some reason the workweek structure is easier for me. How about you? Hope you have a great Monday!

emoticon for leaving me the comment on my blog:
"Everything in moderation. I don't plan on living the rest of my life without another French Fry. But I also don't plan on eating a super size portion every day."

emoticon I love it. Wrote it down in my journal for future reference!
