    How ironic!! I started cleaning out my piles and piles of books that I buy and never get a chance to read. So, decided to read them one at a time and get rid of a majority of them. Sell them on line or at a garage sale.

    Anyway, the one I am reading is a really old books called "Think yourself Thin" It's all about the psychology of loosing weight. One of the things I was reading on the way back from working out was how we rationalize reasons to eat (whatever or vice is). It also talks about projecton, (it's outside forces fault) Fantasy, (once or dreams come true everything will be fine and the weight will just fall off). That's as far as I got.

    The book is by Dr. Frank J. Bruno. Not sure if you could find it anywhere, but it is really hitting home for me. I know that the articles on SP say pretty much the same thing but for some reason this book is just clicking with me.

    Went to work out at the gym. On the way home the first bus stop is right by a Taco Bell, I so wanted to go in, then realized is was rationalizing and walked away. Get off the 2nd bus and there is a Jersey Mikes Sub shop, a L & L Barbecue, a frozen yogurt shop, a Subway and a Little Cesear's Pizza. Again started to rationalize, but say the bus coming and get on quickly before I gave in.

    I also am 62, and beginning to have some health problems. I have had several Dr. appointments these last few weeks. Like I mentioned before I've been under a lot of stress this past school year, and I knew it was really getting to me emotionally. But after these Dr. visits, and until I got some of the test results back I didn't realize how much all this stress affected me physically as well.

    I'm doing much better with the eating. Finding it easier every week resisting the "Sweets" I still have an occasional treat. I'm just now working on getting that daily exercise in.

    I hardly browse SP anymore. Going to start working with a local group here so I can stay on track. Nice to see you are still tracking and working toward healthy goals!

    Thanks for stopping my Spark Page. So glad that you getting back on track.

    I know what you mean about stressful situations. I've just been through a few months of extreme stress due to my job. Long story short, after working for the same school site for 34 years, the new principal decided to eliminate my position. Since I'm not quite ready to retire, I ended up bumping someone with less seniority but only for part time hours. Besides that, the principal was making things very uncomfortabe in the office, back stabbing, unkind, nothing was good enough, she had her hand picked favorites who would spy on the rest of us, so much so that we didn't even feel like we could talk to each other.

    I have never experienced anything like that in all my years of working. I struggled from January until I found out that at least I had a part time position in May. Then of course the last few months there were tough because of leaving the staff, parents and students that I considered family.

    I finally got back on track a few weeks ago and being on summer vacation helped a lot. Being able to vent and talk to other on SP was a great help as well.

    Stress eating is one of my problems as well. I'm doing much better now. I try to find something else when I feel like I want to stress eat. I will get up and clean, go for a walk, work on some kind of craft, read, talk to a good friend or get on SP.

    I hope you will continue to ask your SP friends for help. That is why we are all here.
