Hi I am Lori. Welcome to my page, Thank you for visiting me.

When I first joined sparkpeople, I lost a lot of weight. I stopped coming and I gained it all back and then some. I also belong to TOPS (Take of Pounds Sensibly) organization. I stopped attending those meeting at the same time I stopped coming to Sparkpeople, it has been a very long time. I came back in January 2016. Left again then returned 2020

Sparkpeople has been helping me to eat better and find new ways to exercise. Since I have been back, I have not lost a lot of weight, I hold responsible it on lack of exercise. I had a couple of surgeries that have prevented me from doing aerobic exercises I mainly do strength training. I do some gardening as I am getting stronger.

My Goals:
My goal is to be a physically and mentally healthy person.
To see the good in all people and situations.

My Program:
I use you tube and Sparkpeople exercise generator for exercise.
I have been keeping records in a book of what I eat. Calories. When I eat. How i feel when I eat. also physical exercise and Relaxation exercises.

I try to do some kind of Physical exercise daily and relaxation two times daily. When I do this I do well.

Personal Information:
I live in the small town in NY. State

Other Information:
I have been blessed with good friends and a supported family.

I do my best to see the good in all people, for there is good in all of us. In every situation, good or bad there is a lesson to be learned to help us be a stronger person.

    emoticon I joined Sparks 12 yrs ago at age 58 and a horrible 214# and managed to get down to 186# and stayed there for 9 yrs, until I found a doctor who helped me drop 50# 3 yrs. ago and I've kept it off. Another doctor had told me At your AGE your can't expect to lose wt because you have Metabolic Syndrome.

    So, I saw my doctor and he put me on Metformin, a weekly shot of Bydureon, Nature Thyroid, etc and my blood sugar is now 100 instead of 115 and I don't have cravings.
