Hi, My name is Shannon

I am a work in progress!!! And let me tell you....I need a lot of work! I am determined to get this weight gone. So....I am going to put my head up and my feet down and get er' done. HERE I GO!!! Seems to be really hard to get the weight off, I keep going the wrong direction. I CAN DO THIS!!!

I love anything sweet especially chocolate and ice cream. I am having a really hard time getting control over all of those sweet teeth getting in my way. Can we say BIG struggle! I need to develop those will power skills that I hear so much about, is it possible?

I want to lose weight for my health; health of my knees, my back, my hips and my mind, not to mention the rest of me. I am doing this for myself; HECK! we all need to be selfish once in a while, don't we?

10 reasons I want to lose this weight

1. Because I AM WORTH IT!!!
2. Keep cholesterol in control without medication
3. To look and feel pretty to both my hubby and myself
4. To no longer be in so much pain; knees, back, ankles, hips
5. To feel comfortable in my own body
6. To have CONTROL over my eating
7. To get back into my smaller clothes that have been sitting in my closet for way to long.
8. To be an inspiration to others.
9. To be able to take care of others without feeling exhausted.
10. General Health.

Knuckle down. Buckle down. Do it! Do it! Do it!

My Goals:
As I move into the 5% Summer 2019 Challenge I have way to much to lose to be back at my goal weight of 155.

My goals for this challenge are:
To find my groove again.
To FOCUS on my health.
To actually lose some weight even if it is only 1 pound.
To do the best that I can.

My Program:
5% Summer 2019 challenge commitments

Nutrition plan:
watch calorie intake and stay within my range of 1200-1500 per day.
nothing is off limits.
moderation is key.
Work on eating less sugar and junk food.
Work on eating more fruits and veggies.

Activity plan:
Go to the gym at least 2 days a week.
To walk at least 2 days a week.

Personal Information:
My name is Shannon, I am 51 years young. I live in Brownsville Oregon with my husband Bret. We have no kids and no pets. And we have a great life together, well most of the time anyway.

I love walking with my friends, being out in my garden and spending time with my family.

Other Information:
I will be forever working at this

    Shannon my friend. I too have been wanting ice cream all the time. I found some super yummy lemon ice cream limited edition by Meadow Gold. I kind of wished that I never found it as I want to eat the whole thing which is not good. I couldn't do that anyway since my gastri by pass over 36 years ago all dairy makes me very nauseated. So when we do find it I eat a very small amount as I don't want to be nauseated all night or day long.

    I was going through all of my Spark saved exercises and recipes and found this one for hand made ice cream. You will probably have to copy and paste this into your search box
    ail.asp?recipe=711002 I think it would be fun to just make a serving while watching TV or just chilling (no pun intended) in the kitchen. Let me know if you try it? I need to get some splenda to give it a try I ran out last week when we were having some strawberries. I like to sprinkle some on them when eating them if they are not fully ripe.
