When I joined Spark the first time, I had lost a little of my previous 200 lbs. I continued to lose weight at a slow, but steady pace for the time I continued to use Spark. I got busy and quit using the site, but although it took longer to lose the last few pounds I did get down to my goal weight of 135.
Being at my goal weight felt great! I had started working with a trainer at a gym, and was in the best shape of my life. I was able to do things in my workouts that I didn't think I'd ever be able to do. I was making healthy food choices even when out at resteraunts with friends and confronted with temptations at work celebrations.
Life changed drastically when I moved, started college full-time, and had many personal issues that came up all in a short period of time. I felt like I had no time to go to the grocery store or cook. I would just order a pizza so I could keep chugging away at whatever I was doing. Some of it was out of my old habits of using food for comfort in times of stress or emotional turmoil. I kept telling myself that "one time" wouldn't hurt. What started off as ordering pizza "just this once," and I'll join a gym in the new city "next week" turned into now nine months of eating more unhealthy food than healthy, and absolutely no excersize. Almost every single pound has come back.
I made the mistake of thinking that being at my goal weight meant I didn't have to be vigilant about healthy choices in my life. I slowly slid into the unhealthy becoming routine. I took for granted not having my thighs painfully rub together when I walked, or being out of breath with very little exertion. I took for granted not feeling nauseous or having heartburn after meals. I took for granted being comfortable in my body and clothes. I would like to think that when I lose this weight again I will not take anything for granted when it comes to my health.
I'm ready to lose this weight again. I'm struggling still some days with motivation and belief in myself. Being at the beginning of my weight loss instead of nearing the end is a little overwhelming. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to lose this weight again though.
I'm so glad to be back on Sparkpeople! Having support on this site, and getting motivation and inspiration from other members reall y helped me before and I know it will help me a lot with my journey this time also.

My Goals:
Short-term Goals:

1. Stick to my eating plan all week with NO cheats.

2. Walk at least 5x's a week.

3. Lose at least one pound each week in July.

Long-term Goals:

1. Lose 62 lbs.

2. Become a runner and compete in a half-marathon.

3. Lift weights and be able to deadlift my bodyweight!

4. Learn to use exercize and other healthy ways to deal with stress instead of food.

My Program:
Treadmill- as long as I can walk and increase time as I am able until I can incorporate short sprints of running and complete the Couch to 5k program. Then I would like to train for a half-marathon.

Weights- At least 2x's a week from workouts seen here on spark or in magazines.
