Well I reached goal weight before Thanksgiving and gained a couple back..scared me! Anyway I am still in the BMI overweight range and just plain need to lose some more. So today adjusted my goal down 145lbs which should put me mid healthy range. However, I am determined not to be "number on the scale" frantic and instead will stop or go further depending on how I feel. I will be forever grateful for the support and tools i have found here at Sparkpeople. For those just getting started, hang in there, trust the process, and track, track, track.

110 days and I am down 36 pounds and nearly halfway to my goal weight. I am no longer hiding, I can move again, and I now can get into some of those funky favorites that have been hiding in the back of my closet. I still don't feel I have found balance, but I am pretty steady on my feet at the moment.

"I can't believe I am here again...all the weight more. Now I'm staring at 60 lbs that holds be back , makes me hide, and seems insurmountable."

That was five years and 12 lbs ago. Here I am AGAIN, but this time facing a 73 lb challenge. And yes, still hiding, from friends, family, and life. With me it seem to be a all or nothing. I'm hoping this time around, with the support and tools found here, I will find the balance I seek.

My Goals:
To remember how EMPOWERING making HEALTHY choices are.

To take it one week at time & track, track, track.

To embrace each pound lost as one closer to revealing the real me.

To get back into the funky-favs waiting for me in my closet!

My Program:
Right now I am just tracking calories and exercise.

I would like to begin practicing Tai-chi again, but have forgotten so much :(

And maybe join the "Dance for 15 min a day" group

Personal Information:
I am 51 and have shared nearly 30 years with my husband (who can still make me laugh with only a look.) Our son is 23 & a great joy. I "teach" at our county Juvenile Hall Court School, and I love to learn new things.

Other Information:
I get depressed if I don't create, and have "Crating ADD." You name it - I have probably tried it. Right now I it's Jewelry (love to pound on metal & play with wire) Also, I love books and enjoy gardening, movies, tai-chi, and I used to do some writing.

    Hi, I got this far pretty good. And you got some points. I guess they will give you my info, and if not I will. 30 pounds seems like a lot, but it will be fun to finally consider it! I still have not weighed and measured. Soon! emoticon

    Thanks for the comments on my posts. Camping was great, just exhausting !!! We had to unload the car, then figure out where to put everything. Get organized etc. Olivia our 5 yr. old grand daughter was with us. She wears us out but is so much fun. We can't get back there for about 3 wks. cause of so much going on here, but at least when we do go, we won't have all that stuff to do. And Olivia isn't coming that trip! We want to rest up, cause the next 3 weeks are going to be non stop. Oh she'll go plenty more with us this summer, she loves it !
