Hi, I'm Amanda.

Back in 2007, I started my journey on spark and in about 6 months managed to lose 26 pounds. Over the course of the next two years I regained 32 pounds. How could that happen, you may ask. I stopped making myself a priority. My husband and I bought a house, we got a dog and working out and being healthy fell by the wayside.

November 2009 came and I did it again. Lost the weight. Got to a new adult low of 144.3 lbs and then proceeded to regain it all.

I can give you plenty of excuses - the biggest of which was that I found out I had severe uterine fibroids and adenomyosis and had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 33. Considering that was one year ago though and I am still 3 lbs heavier than when I went in for surgery, tells you that there are bigger problems yet to be fixed.

So, here I am again. Ready to recommit and take my life back. I'm back to running (3 miles, woohoo!) and biking with my dad (25 miles, woohoo!).

Stay tuned as I figure out how to live my life for the best me possible.
