Change can be good.
I want to stay motivated and maintain a healthy lifestyle so that I can enjoy my retirement & travel with my DH. I've seen too many people retire and then just go downhill, energy and health-wise. This CAN be the best time of my life but it'll take work and commitment. I want to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

My Goals:
1. Lose 5 lb. that I gained while my arm was fractured last summer.
2. Gain muscle strength
3. Increase energy levels
4. Eat healthier & slowly become a vegetarian.
5. Strengthen my bones because I have osteopenia.
6. Stop mindless snacking while reading or watching TV
My Program:
1. Food Tracking which will keep me honest
2. Working out 3-4 times/wk.
3. Yoga 3-4 /wk.
Personal Information:
I'm a retired RN whose most recent job was in a library which I loved. I was a Lamaze-certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) and have done professional labor support (doula) in the past.
WV transplant to Hampton Roads VA with a couple of side trips to live in southern CA. I now live in Central Florida in one of the only two towns in FL that has hills.
Diagnosed with breast cancer 12/23/2007, surg. in Jan. 2008. I remain cancer-free! I do have Fibro and arthritis but try hard not to let them stop me.
Other Information:
Love my husband who is retired from the Navy and was a Merchant Marine for awhile. We're enjoying retirement in Central FL. I have a great son and sweet DIL who live in FL, too. We have a new rescue Lab as of 6/17 that we named Tess. She has a feline sister, Sedona who is 12 yrs old and has epilepsy.
Love to read, garden, do yoga, walk, and my friends & family. I do volunteer work at a local Genealogy grp and also at a Lab rescue called Houndhaven, Inc.
I'm also a Mammosite Volunteer in FL as a resource for breast cancer patients who will be or have gone thru Mammosite radiation.
