    Welcome back to Spark People.

Portion controlling your food using a digital kitchen scale, making sure you are drinking enough water, and moving your body every day will get you a lot closer to where you want to be!

Use your Daily Nutrition Tracker @
    www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/nutritio
    n.asp
You're going to want to know how you did staying within your caloric range everyday, and how you can improve. You'll be able to begin to see patterns emerging and how better to feed your body for all you expect it to do when you keep track of everything you eat.

Run the Daily Nutrition Feedback Report each day @
    www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/nutritio
    n_feedback_check.asp
You'll be able to see how you met your goals (or went over or under them). The pie charts at the bottom of the page break down your calories by meal and also provide a Carb / Fat / Protein Breakdown which is very helpful in visually getting you to see where you could better tweak what you're eating.

As for moving your body, walking works! You will have to walk a little faster than a stroll (because what we're aiming for here is "aerobic"), and you can achieve that through walking.

There are also exercises for those with mobility issues (aka chair exercises) - I know that SP exercise videos have some and YouTube has them too.

As for willpower and convincing yourself you want it - it's there inside you even if you don't feel it right now and haven't felt it for a while.

I understand how overwhelming it can all seem and to have to add one or even two more things to an already packed schedule and home life.

I remember how I felt when I rejoined SparkPeople in September of 2012. I didn't think I'd be able to do it either. But little by little I gained confidence and strength, and learned to believe in myself more and more. Fast forward to now and I really don't even mentally recognize the person I was back then.

You already took a huge step returning to SparkPeople and posting here. Come on, take another. And then another. Because that's how you continue what you started. One foot in front of the other and you will get there.

I wish you much success on your journey!

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

    1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

    2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!
