a little less of me
I sure would like there to be a "little" less of me but more important I want to keep my blood sugars under control.
found a new favorite quote
"fall down seven times, get up eight!"
like this one too!

UPDATE as I near my one year Sparkpeople anniversary:
sometime it takes a good swift kick in the pants to get oneself motivated. I hear it all the time. I wish I could..... the big one I hear is "I wish I could walk like you but..." I do 3-5 miles everyday up some of the steepest hills in town. I tell people I didn't get up one day and decide to walk miles.....I started at 15 minutes a day, 3 days a week at about 2 miles an hour. Gradually increased over many months.
My kick in the pants was a diabetic education class where I met several people older than me (I was 49 at the time now 50) who made me fill slim at 244 pounds. They couldn't walk across the room without being out of breathe. Their lab values were wayyyyy too high and they just didn't seem to "get it"
I went home after the second session and thought "that is not going to be me." I have a 14 year-old son who deserves to have a mom that is taking care of herself and able to be active with him.
It is has been journey and will always be a way of life for me now. I still have weight to lose but can honestly say I am in the best shape physically and even mentally than I have been in years.
Don't let others drag you down!! You are making the right decisions for you....

Good start on the POWER Challenge. I have found it to be helpful to write a few sentences in the Nutrition Notes at the bottom of the nutrition page. It will also give you another five points.
Keep up the good work.
