Hi! I'm Shannon. I'm going to college to be an RN. I want to be in shape and at a healthy weight before I start my nursing career.It will be a lot of hard work, but I am worth it. I started with high blood pressure (158/128) and it is now at a healthy 117/75!

My Goals:
-Wear a bikini and look GREAT in it!!

-Learn how to kayak

-Be at a healthy weight

-Drink more water

-Learn how to reward myself ( I never put myself first and I'm trying to learn to appreciate myself)

-Attend yoga classes and be able to complete it

-Run a 5k

MINI GOALS:
Lose 20 pounds

ACHIEVED GOALS:

-Have perfect blood pressure (Brought it down from 157/110 to 117/75!!!)
Without medication! 7/28/2012

Lose 10 pounds (Completed!)


My Program:
-Eating within my recommended calorie range each day. (Although sometimes it's hard to eat enough to make it)

-Portion control!!!

-Eating fresh fruits and veggies

-Choosing lean meats

-Regular exercise! Elliptical, treadmill, spin bike, strength training 3 times a week. I used to HATE exercise, but I LOVE it now!

-Using the Sparkpeople tracker! If I'm ever tempted to eat something unhealthy, knowing that I'll have to upload it is a great motivator to not eat it.

-Switching regular milk to almond/soy milk (I'm lactose and am switching for health reasons) plus it's DELICIOUS!

-Travelling ( I LOVE to go to new places)
