Time to put my money where my mouth is!
I joined Spark in January 2007, and I have had a lot of changes in my life since then! I lost 45 lbs, and became a runner along the way. In 2008 I started running races, which I never thought I would ever do in my lifetime! However, I hurt my knee running a race in September 2008 and had to slow down, and the pounds started piling on quickly! In 2008 I started running races, which I never thought I would ever do in my lifetime! However, I hurt my knee running a race in September 2008 and had to slow down, and the pounds started piling on quickly! In December 2008, we found out we were expecting again, and our son joined our family in July 2009. I only gained 16 lbs while pregnant, but I need to take off all the weight I put back on before getting pregnant, too! He is 5 months old now, and it is time to start race training again!
My 15 yo daughter was giving me a hard time around my birthday in December that this was my last year in my 30's, and that I was almost 40. I told her that I could look better at 40 than she will at 16, so the challenge was set! Now it's time to buckle down and make sure I win! I did it in 2007 with the support of my loving husband, Spark, and all my wonderful Spark friends! I know I can do it again!

My Goals:
My goals for 2010:
1) To reach my goal weight once again by July 28, 2010 (Ethan's 1st bday)
2) Improve my 5K time in order to more closely compete with my husband and friends at the Race for the Cure in April
3) Run 2 half marathons in 2010
4) Begin training for a fuill marathon in 2011
My Program:
Fitness plans right now are to ST twice a week, Pilates once a week, run at least 3 days a week, and get some cardio on ST/Pilates days as well.
My nutrition focus is on making sure almost every calorie consumed is a healthy calorie. I can't cut back on calorie intake while breastfeeding (learned that lesson the hard way!), but I can cut out the junk! I also need to get back to clean eating.
Personal Information:
I am a 39 yo old SAHM to 4 beautiful girls, and now one adorable baby boy! I am married to a wonderful husband, and we live in Fishers, Indiana.
Other Information:
My biggest motivation is my family. My husband does a great job of supporting and motivating me, especially since he joined Spark! My girls try to, also. We are trying to teach them about making healthy food choices, and try to motivate them to get more exercise. I want to get healthier so that I can stick around for them! I suffered a heart attack after my youngest daughter was born, and I want to try to reverse as much of the damage as possible.
