Thank you for reading my blog about my dress code rebellion. I attended Catholic schools for grades 1-9 and hemlines became a issue as we approached 8th grade graduation and our growth spurts simultaneously. Nobody's families wanted to buy a new uniform for a few months unless they had another female child who would get it as a hand me down. It’s hard to imagine now how many obstacles, great and small, that women faced and how we once just accepted it as “the way things were.”
