I turned 50 in May of 2017. I'm a wife and mother of two adult children. (At the moment they are our roommates.) We have 2 dogs, one middle-aged, the other a pup. I adore animals. I live in NC! (That's exciting because we used to live in MN and wanted to flee the winters forever. Done.)

I'm an occasional 'Zombies, Run' walker/runner, I use a FitBit tracker every day, and I want to start and MAINTAIN an Essentrics practice. I would like to lose weight, but my primary goal is to feel better.

My Goals:

I would like to lose about 30 pounds. It's most important to me to feel generally healthy and energetic. I write and work on the computer a lot, and need to move more. My stretch goal is to be able to run again - the way I did when I was a kid: with a sense of joy of freedom.

My Program:
My Goals:
1. Move daily. ((Essentrics, Zombies, Run!, walking, etc.)
2. Get my average daily steps up into the 8,000 steps per day range ... with no days under 5,000.
3. Being productive in my chosen field improves my mood and attitude immensely. For that reason, I want to write on my blog and/or my novels EVERY DAY.
4. Looking good also improves my ability to function well. For that reason, I want to stay on top of a good hygiene and beauty routine. That means being clean, being well-dressed for the situation, wearing a little (or a lot) of makeup, and being accessorized with cool, distinctive "stuff".

Current numbers:
goal weight - 180
exercise in minutes - 210 weekly (30 minutes a day)

    It's come to my attention that you all may not be getting new post notifications from Bipolar Mania! Here is a way to fix that, if you want to. I'd love to see more involvement. Please check to see if you are getting Bipolar Mania! information. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Click on the orange tab 'community' at the top of this page. Click Spark teams. On the top of your list of teams it will say 'manage my team emails/settings'. Click on it. & You can fix which notifications you want/get for EACH of tour teams in there. Put a check IN the boxes of notifications you want from each team individually. Let me know if that helps.

    I would like to start some new threads & challenges so I'm looking for ideas & suggestions from members of Bipolar Mania! To help! I want to add games & other thing you all are interested in. Probably not weight loss/exercise per se because there seems to be plenty of that support in other teams. I'm hoping to be more about socializing 7 always knowing you have a safe place to share & offer help if you can. If there is enough interest in weight loss I will be willing to do that as well. Please send your ideas to me through a SparkMail if you'd like to participate!
