Introduction Text I began my weight loss journey on November 11, 2009 - AGAIN. Fed up with my current health and weight, I decided to attend a seminar on LapBand. That is when I had the epiphany that I COULD succeed. I could get healthy and fit! And so, I set out to change my eating habits and my fitness level. I am on my way to a healthier me! Update: On March 17, 2010, I had Lap Band Surgery. My hope is that it will help me control my hunger and food intake and be just one more tool to help me achieve my goals!

After years of struggling, I am dedicated to a healthier lifestyle. I am looking for Spark Friends that I can follow on their weight loss journeys - people who will motivate me and that are willing to work together on common goals - if you fit the bill please feel free to "friend" me and say hello!

Following a 1600 calorie - low carb/high protein diet with the help of a dietician. Following a 90 day program with my doctors in order to meet surgery requirements to have lap-band surgery. Walking for exercise and working with hand weights for strenght training! Update: March 17, 2010 - had lapband surgery with Dr. Collier, Conroe, TX. I am learning to eat in a whole new way!

My name is Reese and I am from Houston Texas. I am 42, married to my husband Bill for 21 years (happily!) and we have 3 children (ages 23, 18, 13). I run my own pet care business and I enjoy taking care of animals and helping people.

My journey is just beginning...so excited to see where it will take me! I LOVE animals - especially dogs! I love watching crime shows...my favorites are Criminal Minds and NCIS. I am a self proclaimed "chocoholic"...and possibly a "pepsiholic" - although I am "off" both now - and the soda's forever once I have my band in place!
