So, I am restarting my journey. I joined Spark initially, because some folks in the local theatre scene were doing it, and had a group. At the time, it just wasn't working for me. I came back several months later, after googling couch to 5K. This site popped up with a beginning running group. I did the C25K, with the support of several sparkers, and starting joining other groups. One of the members was talking about the Inaugural DisneyWorld Princess Half Marathon. I thought that sounded like a superfun time, so I dedicated myself to training. I found the Disney Princess Group (since renamed, as many of the ladies are doing other Disney events now), and loads more support.

I got to nearly my goal weight, finished the half, and things seemed swell. Then, I woke up one morning and was in incredible pain from my neck. I went to a chirpractor for treatment, which helped some, but in addition to the neck pain, I was also suffering from pain, numbness and tingling down my arms. I've since had an MRI, and seen a neurologist. I am on a number of meds to stop the chronic headaches I suffer from, and to heal the muscle damage and ease the pain, until they can figure out why I am numb and tingly. The damage in my neck is all on the left side, so the numbness and pain in my right doesn't make sense.

2010 was a year full of ups and downs. I tried to keep working, and I set a goal for completing a marathon. A new treatment was tried for my neck, epidural steroid injections. The steroids did not provide the healing that was hoped for my neck. Instead, they caused me constant hot flashes and an insatiable appetite. I got back to nearly my heaviest weight. Bronchitis put the kibosh on my marathon. 2012 hit and with the weight gain and the pain, working out fell to the wayside. A lot of not great things happened.

So, here I am. My neck is healed (yay!) but due to my weight I am having lots of other aches and pains. I am working up my running again. My biggest hurdle is food. I need to buckle down, and I know what I need to eat...but I am so tired most of the time that I just go for what's easy over what's healthy. So, I am committing to get to my goal. Not close like before...but all the way there. I want to get back in all my fun clothes, and not have my back and joints angry with me. I know I can do it, and I don't have any excuses!

My Goals:
I am changing my goal of weight loss...I was going to settle for 128....but 125 is what I really want, so I'm going to go for it!!!

I would also like to get my body fat down to 22% again, then look to go lower after that.

However, I will take fitting into all my pants comfortable, and not having my underarms continue waving after I stop.

My Program:
So, after getting running, and working out regularly...I was sidelined for a while. Now my back is really healed, so I need to get back in the swing of things.
Currently running 3x/week.

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!

Thanks for visiting My TRON blog.
I wish it had been a bit more cutting edge in the graphics. I wanted something that had never been seen before. BUT.. the movie was amazing to watch.
I think I'll go see it in non-3D as well. They say the glasses, due to the polarization, drop the video level down about 20%. You know.. kinda like watching a movie while wearing sun glasses.
So I want to see it again clearly.
