I know I may not fit back into my 29" waist Z-Cav shorts from '86 (I still have them... just in case) any time soon, but I will get back into my 32" jeans this year! I've gone from 38" to nearly 34" already in the past 6 months. With the things I've been learning lately along with my increase in motivation, I'm truly ready to get my fat furnace burning!

Fitness Minutes: 6,905

My Goals:
1. ride 100 miles on my road bike in one day on any day the spark hits me

2. fit into my abundance of 30 - 32" waist jeans

3. run 10 miles without walking

4. climb 30 feet of rope without using my feet or legs

My Program:
1. drink LOTS of water

2. track EVERYTHING that I ingest

3. weight training

4. ride my bike(s)

5. C25k

6. get ever more in touch with my body's (and my mind's) true nutritional NEEDS

Personal Information:
My name is Jeff and I currently reside in Central Illinois. I'm fairly handy with computers and bass guitars.

Life threatening deep vein thrombosis (blood clots) in my right leg hospitalized me in late 2008. This led to some serious rethinking of my daily routine. At the time, that consisted of work, sitting at a computer or watching tv while at home, eating 2 or 3 poorly chosen meals each day and sleeping 3 or 4 hours each weeknight and 10 to 12 hours (or more) on the weekends.

Other Information:
I love raw rolled oats with blueberries and sucralose. I also add sliced banana, chopped apple, golden raisins, sunflower seeds, crushed walnuts, shaved almonds, freshly ground cinnamon or just about anything that strikes my fancy. I always use soy milk with my oats, not because I don't drink milk (I love milk), but because the taste goes better with oats.

I also LOVE my Foreman grill. The ability to have no-fuss steak, fish, chicken, etc at a moment's notice is awesome! Toss a steak on the grill, a sweet potato in the nuker and a salad in a bowl - you've got yourself a WONDERFUL meal.

Wow, congrats on your weight loss, I have a son that loves his guitar as well.

Best wishes on your journey - it will never end - but we will learn so much during the travels.

Thanks for stopping by my page and actually paying attention. It is a telecaster that my husband built. He's built a couple, but that's the one I'm proudest of, plus I had a little bit of input in it's design. :) Thank you so much for the guitar and have a wonderful week! I've gained a bit of weight back so I really have to buckle down!

    YOU ROCK!!!

Oh my gosh! I was just cruising around Spark pages and saw your Z-cav comment! My 30 year old son just HAD to have Z Cavaricci jeans back when he was about 8 or 9 and those things were like 70 bucks!! They were hard to find too. We did and he had to pay half with his own money from his bday!

Thanks for bringing back some fond memories from my now all grown up son's childhood!

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!
