THE NEW YEAR IS coming up and I am still strong and determined. I refuse to lay down before the enemy. I will NEVER stop. I still have some heath challenges. I will continue to work thur them. Modify where I can. I still struggle with weight training. It is not my favs. Yet I am on the continued search of a new exercise or routine I can modify to my advantage and get healthier. I have to work around asthma which is well controlled along with diabetes which I could always improve on and i am hypertensive. Whew that is a lot but my faith in Christ keeps me going and pushing forward. I still have my mini trampoline that use on occasion need more use. I found a. Stationary bike at our local thrift shop for 30 dollars. I tore my old stationary bike up from use. I still have my treadmill and I have a love hate relationship with it. I will use YouTube for aerobic exercising along with any activity I can find that fits my special case. As a newly single mom things can get challenging. I AM A RECOVERING EMOTIONAL EATER AND I AM WORKING ON IT BY FAITH EVERY DAY.. I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL I REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT THIS upcoming year. I AM A WOMAN OF FAITH AND I WILL USE IT IN EVERY SITUATION OF MY LIFE. I have brought a JOURNAL TO FIT MY PERSONAL CASE TO TRACK MY HEALTH HABITS, FOOD AND EXERCISE I WILL ALSO STUDY GODS WORD FOR STRENGTH, DAILY STUDING, AND DAILY AFFIRMATIONS TO BEAT BACK THE VOICES OF NO AND YOU CAN NOT! LIES! I WILL AND I CAN DO ALL THINGS THUR CHRIST WHO IS MY STRENGTH DISTRACTION LIST TO GUARD AGAINST EMOTIONAL EATING 1. Distance myself from the desired food. Go outside etc. Go window shopping at my fav thrift store. 2. Chewing gum or drink green tea. Drink low cal or no cal beverage like green teas, club soda, water with fruit slices. you would be surprised how a few fruit slices changes the tastes of water. I incorporated a new habit for bedtime. I saw that certain food cravings could mean vitamin deficiencies so I try and take vitamins daily especially the cold and flu months. 3. deep breathing, Cleaning out closets or my bed room dresser drawer or re-organize it.Go thur my craft boxes and organize and clean it out. I have found out that I soon forget about eating afterwards. 4. Pray believing God will take me thur this time of testing or trial. Develop and use victory verses of the bible over temptation. devotions. Stinking thinking can get you into trouble. I refuse! 5. Cleaning/scrubbing floors, tub etc. 6. Do self care like napping, facials, use tea bags or cucumber sliced on eyes. Yes tea bags and cucumber slices are great on puffy and tired eyes. They feel cool and refreshing. Pedicures or manicures ARE A MUST FOR ME NOW. . 7. Do crocheted projects. Keeping my hands busy really helps and I love crocheting anyway. I have made several crocheted projects including jewelry. I have also made jewelry from beading and wire works. I like having pieces that I have made with my own hands . I have begun a fitness journal to aid me managing my health and weight loss. It has revealed a lot about myself. I know where I need to pick things up in areas of my life. One I need to make me a priority and I will do just thst. Recently I have allowed myself to go back to bed after my son leaves for his day support center activities. I catch on much needed sleep and rest. Do I feel guilty? Nope I work hard to manage the both if us. I recently started making refurbished journals for stress relief. I found it to be relaxing. I love making things with my hands. This craft is a new one for me. I love trying new crafts. 8. Go shopping--window shop for inexpensive items or Leave the room. 9 DEEP BREATHING. I recently did this with my ys who is speical needs and it does relax you. I even got sleepy afterwards. MY SKILLS FOR COMBATING STRESS. 1. AS A MOM OF A SPECIAL NEEDS ADULT OF WHICH HE IS ONE OF THE JEWELS OF MY EYES) I NEED DOWN TIME. TO COLLECT MYSELF BEFORE PUTTING A SPOON TO MY MOUTH. REMOVING MYSELF FROM THE STRESSFUL SITUATION IF POSSIBLE. 2. PRAYER AND QUOTING SCRIPTURE TO THE SITUATION. LIFE AND DEATH IS IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE. 3. IF TIRED TAKE A POWER NAP.. 5. FOR AN EXTREMELY STRESSFUL DAY stretches and YOGA HELPS OUT. PATIO BREAKS WHEN ABLE AND WEATHER PERMITS. 6. REMEMBER AND REMIND MYSELF THAT FOOD IS NOT THE ANSWER. GOD IS!! I am free to do and be me. My youngest son is still dealing with the divorce and is getting helps. My two older sons are working things out their way. It does not involve their father who quickly remarried. I do not live in negativity any longer God is still my provider and source of strength. He is my all and all. I can't stop giving thanks to God. He is still writting my story..........😊🙏🙏🙏💃💃🏃🏃🙌👐

I love crocheting, and have LEARNED TO READ PATTERNS BETTER! I design beaded and wire jewelry, I am new to scrapbooking. I love learning new crafts. I enjoy brid watching but I am no expert, I love seeing Gods creation my back yard creatures. I love stgartg gazing too no expert but love seeing Gods glory. Lastly I like to watching lightening I know how this sounds but it is just me. ROFL. I am happily divorced with three adult kids one of which is esepcially needs. He just graduated with honors lst year and led the pledge of alligence. I am one pourd mother. My son is the apple of my eye along with my faith.
