In 2006, these words inspired me to lose 86 pounds;

"Think about how different life could be if you stopped emphasizing the end, the fix or getting there, and began enjoying each step of the way. If one moment was as good as the next. If the goal in life was not to fix yourself but to transform yourself. Here, after all, is a miracle; you are already on the journey. You already know and already have everything you need to continue. Relax, breathe, be kind to yourself and everyone else. Oh, there's one more thing; enjoy the ride!"
(Geneen Roth)

It has been over ten years since those words inspired me to lose 86 pounds, and a lot has happened in that time. I gained back the weight, plus an extra 14 pounds.. Then I lost 72 pounds, only to gain them back within a few months. It has been one weight loss attempt after another, followed by one re-gain each time.

I'm back again for another attempt. I still believe that I'm worth the effort, and with God's help (and the support of my Spark friends) I will reach a healthy weight and find the strength to maintain it this time.

"An undivided heart. That's what my whole journey in conquering my cravings was about. When it comes to my body, I can't live with divided loyalties. I can either be loyal to honoring the Lord with my body or loyal to my cravings, desires, and many excuses for not exercising. The apostle Paul taught the Corinthians about this two thousand years ago when he wrote: "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."
(1 Corinthians 6:19).

    Pixie, I'm always happy to see you on my SP page! My week has started off well and I hope it keeps this way! I went outdoors for a walk this morning, loved it! Usually I walk my building's long hallways for my exercise. Crisp air, squirrels chasing each other in the trees, leaves changing to such beautiful colours - I enjoy it all.

    Are you ready for Halloween? Hard to believe that it's next week, it really crept up on us!

    Enjoy your week, stay well, be happy!
